What We Do
The VCPE Club brings together those who are interested in venture capital investing as well as those following entrepreneurial pursuits. We provide opportunities for members to learn more about the investment life cycle, financing process, and partnership between investors and entrepreneurs. Our events help members develop connections across the MIT community as well as engage with the vibrant venture capital firms in Boston, Silicon Valley, and around the world.
We aim to provide professional development, networking, and educational opportunities for those interested in the private equity industry. The VCPE Club connects members to industry leaders and investment professionals through speaker events, conferences, competitions, and treks.
The VCPE club is committed to promoting and developing entrepreneurship, in particular, promoting the commercialization of MIT technologies. In addition to the variety of educational events we offer, we provide opportunities for members to work at start-ups first-hand. The VCPE club partners with the MIT Venture Mentoring Service and Science and Engineering Business Club to create VenturesShips. This program brings teams of cross-departmental MIT students to local work with real start-up companies.
In addition, our club partners with the MIT Sloan Career Development Office to prepare a resume book for club members targeting opportunities at portfolio companies of 40+ leading venture capital firms.
