VC Conference

In its 13th year, the MIT Venture Capital conference is one of the largest and most prominent VC conferences in the country, with over 500 attendees every year. It brings together venture capitalists, rising entrepreneurs, and industry leaders to discuss current opportunities and challenges in venture capital investing.

The past conference, themed “Here & Now” (November 2010), returned the focus to the entrepreneur and building companies in the present. Highlights include:

• Keynote speakers Steve Case (Co-founder of AOL, Chairman and CEO of Revolution), and Brian McAndrews (Managing Director of Madrona Venture Group)
• Entrepreneur Showcase exhibiting 30 exciting new start-ups
• Ideastorm, a unique high-energy, brainstorming session
• Innovative Panels covering Energy, Healthcare, Emerging Markets, Internet, New Investment Models, Mobile, and Social VC
• Entrepreneur Workshops that provide a forum for entrepreneurs to be coached by VCs on critical entrepreneur skills such as effective pitching and putting together compelling pitch decks
