PitchBook offers extensive information on venture firms, funds, deals, investors, portfolio companies, and key executives, as well as on early-stage, venture or accelerator-backed companies and associated transactions. PitchBook is available to access for free for MIT students.
Preqin offers comprehensive global research on investment industry, including detailed information and analytics on venture capital and private equity firms, funds, deals, and portfolio companies. Preqin is available to access for free for MIT students.
Bloomberg terminals offer financial news, data, analytics, and tools that can be helpful for private equity idea generation, due diligence, and market monitoring. Bloomberg terminals are located in buildings E51 & E62. MIT Sloan students have unrestricted use of Bloomberg, while MIT non-Sloan students must ask a Professor to send an email to STShelp@sloan.mit.edu explaining the student's research objectives and expected duration of use.
